A signal will not start

Check location and notification permissions.
Confirm the sharing summary on the help screen.
Move to an open area if location cannot be acquired.
Without internet, the signal remains local and can attempt nearby relay.

Nearby relay is unavailable

Enable Bluetooth and Nearby devices.
Move devices within a few meters.
Keep FAAL RADAR open on both devices for at least one discovery cycle.
iOS can restrict background relay; keep the app foregrounded during testing.

The map is empty

Use the map refresh action.
After moving the map, select “Search this area.”
Confirm disaster and signal layers are enabled.
Expired signals and old events are intentionally hidden.

Recovery QR

Use the QR only between devices you control.
Do not restore while an active signal is broadcasting.
Store the QR and passphrase separately.
Never attach a Recovery QR to a support email.

Pro and purchases

Check that the store account is online.
Try “Restore purchases.”
Confirm the same store account is signed in.
Use Apple or Google purchase history for billing and refunds.

Stop broadcasting

Open the active item on Signals.
Select “Stop signal broadcast.”
An offline revocation is queued and carried to nearby devices.
On Android, confirm the persistent notification disappears.
